PHOBIC SYNDROMES AND WISDOM "" TRUE AND ADULTERATED WISDOM"
Fear, whether we want it or not,is one of the dominant elements in the decision-making that is relevant to our lives.
Our own, and our people's lives, on a daily basis.
These decisions are about our survival, our security in today, but also our safety for tomorrow.
The usually dominant element, for any future speculations is the unknown, and perhaps the unpredictable.
The imponderable factors, are so many, that predictions about the outcome of events,and situations, become, from difficult to impossible.
That's for the public, the ordinary citizen..
For leaders, this is not true, or may be true to a much lesser extent. For the simple reason that he has at his disposal the knowledge and expertise of experts and scientific analysts of all areas of interest,who can give the leader the advice needed to make the most correct decision.
Any leader can easily form teams of experts on all issues, in order to have a global picture of things and situations, and his decisions are based on expertise and scientific opinion, rather than on wishful thinking, obsessions,phobic syndromes, or even on Stockholm syndrome, where the victim falls in love with the kidnapper, hoping, that the same will happen to the kidnapper!!
Of course this is not the case, despite being a possible scenario, in the victim's mind..
What usually happens, in such cases, is the victim, turning into a helpless slave and subservient to the kidnapper .!!
The wisdom and wisdom of a leader does not lie in his ability to highlight,the risks or any negative data, in a dispute or conflict, with other forces,but his ability to maximize any positive, and to take preventive measures required,to minimize the risks that lie, from the actions, pursuits, and strategic goals of the opponent.
This is the duty and obligation of any leader, or of anyone who wants to present himself as a leader.
The demonstrated prudence, impregnated by fear or other syndromes, due to unfortunate or deficient manipulations of the past, can not lead to positive results or have a happy ending, at least for those who seek it,or for those who represent.
Even if the fears are well founded, the leader's duty is to them
he neglects, at least in his public positions ,and tries to minimize them, using all the political,diplomatic, or and other means that he can potentially have at his disposal.!
The fake, masquarated wisdom, based on policies or strategies, on phobic or and other syndromes,
it has nothing to do with political wisdom, or in any sense of wisdom .
What makes him a leader is his ability to inspire and be inspired by the dreams and aspirations of those who voted for, and trusted him.
If on the contrary, what he is trying, is to transfer his own supposedly personal insecurities or and phobias, skillfully, and because of beliefs, on the shoulders of his subjects, thus expecting to accept possibly, a cooked, Turkish standards,
solution to the Cyprus problem, who has always been a devotee and supporter.
What distinguishes a leader from ordinary mortals and his subjects is the high sense of responsibility, the high spirit,
the moral resistances, the morals,and the Pride, which, as the leader of a people, he represents, as the supreme ruler.
If these all do not exist, then the definition of the real leader, ceases to exist,
and it's being replaced by some who want to pretend to be leaders.
Because, quite simply, there is no connection,what a people believes and expects, with those of their supposed leaders.
And there is no historical precedent where a people,or their leaders, demand surrender without a fight, to their enemy, who is consisting not only a lethal threat to their freedom, but also for their survival.
